Getting started

Get in touch to have a chat about how it all works - details on the Contact page. Essentially the two most important elements are the purchase of the film licence / screening licence for each film that you screen and the cinema kit to screen it. We have four portable cinema kits around the county, stored in Eye, Stowmarket, Sudbury and Newmarket. Our kit consists of a projector, screen with blackout sides (screen size is 10 ft x 7.5 ft), amplifier, two speakers, speaker stands, DVD player plus all associated leads and extension cables. You can borrow bits of equipment if you have some of your own kit. All the kit is stored in flight cases and can be transported in the back of your average car but you might need a hand with the lifting! Most of our members screen DVDs but you can show videos or slides by linking the data projector up to your own video player or laptop. More info on licensing below.
