Thanks to players of the National Lottery, Suffolk Cinema has received a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund, to support organisations to run dementia-friendly screenings and outdoor pop-up cinemas!
Suffolk Cinema is proud to be a member of the BFI's Film Audience Network, which was set up in 2012 using funds from the National Lottery, to support a stronger and more connected approach to growing audiences for British and international film on the big screen. Suffolk Cinema is a member of the Film Hub South East (and was previously a member of Film Hub Central East). You can find out more about the work of the Film Hubs here
If you are a community cinema, why not join the BFI Neighbourhood Cinema? You can apply for funding and get advice and support on starting up or running your cinema.
West Suffolk Council
We're delighted to have received Community Chest funding from West Suffolk Council, to focus particularly on the St Edmundsbury area to promote the Network and encourage more community screenings. We're keen to get more dementia-friendly screenings and screenings in unusual community venues up and running - so thank you West Suffolk!
