When an elderly man (Jim Broadbent) is bequeathed a diary from a deceased friend, he is suddenly thrust back into his teenage memories of a love triangle involving his first crush (Freya Mavor) and a school chum (Joe Alwyn) -- one that would ultimately divide the three of them and shape the rest of his adult life. Charlotte Rampling, Harriet Walter, Michelle Dockery, Matthew Goode, and Emily Mortimer co-star.
